Hello there and welcome! I’m an environmental economist with a long track record of collaborating in interdisciplinary teams. Currently, I work as a postdoc researcher at the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research in Leipzig, Germany. My core interest is in understanding human behavior and decision-making, particularly where they intersect with sustainability transformations. A few years ago, I co-founded zora – the transformation lab to actively apply and share what I have learned.

What I Do.

Data-driven Decision Support

I am interested in how we can make informed decisions, particularly when problems are complex and impacts uncertain. As a researcher, I study human behavior and decision-making with a focus on the environment and sustainability. I apply mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods, using concepts from economics and behavioral science.

Research & Teaching

I teach classes on the economics of sustainability and conservation as well as water resources management at the University of Leipzig and the Anhalt University of Applied sciences. Outside of the classroom, I give interactive trainings and workshops on a range of topics, including climate adaptation and mitigation, sustainability and evidence-based ways to change behaviors.

Facilitation

I am passionate about communicating with people from different backgrounds. Complex problems often can only be addressed effectively if we establish a shared understanding of the problem and co-create appropriate solutions. As a trained facilitator, I draw from a toolkit of methods to create a space for open and critical exchange.
